ECOPLATFORM OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT&GREEN TRANSITION
Our mission: Comprehensive provision of mine safety, including mine clearance, environmental and social restoration, and full rehabilitation of war-affected citizens and territories of Ukraine with the support of the EU and other international partnership programs.
Our vision is to develop human capital, and to rehabilitate the wounded in the context of the post-war restoration of society, territories, and the economy, based on the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals #SDG2030.
Formation of a progressive professional, expert, and volunteer community for effective participation in the European integration and global process of "green" transition with international support for the Restoration, Reconstruction, and Modernization of Ukraine, full-fledged European integration, and multifaceted international partnership.
Our vision includes the following goals and objectives
- Implementation of EU approaches, methods, and practices, recognized international methods and standards in the processes of reliable assessment of environmental violations due to local and trans-regional consequences of military actions in the processes of demining, ecosystem restoration, and comprehensive rehabilitation of Ukrainian citizens affected by mines and explosive weapons. Deployment of the Portuguese-Ukrainian Platform for Environmental, Mine Safety and Rehabilitation (PT_UA_EMSR_Platform).
- Implementation of the mission of ecological, and social protection and full-fledged rehabilitation of war-affected citizens and territories in Ukraine,
- other global programs for the protection of human rights,
- Development of Human Capital and efficient use of Natural Capital,
- international networks,
- strengthening the role of civil society,
- and the professional,
- expert community,
- achieving a reliable cross-sectoral partnership according to the priorities of the "green" transition,
- adhering to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals
- and implementing consistent advocacy for European integration processes, ensuring that strategic and operational programs are supported by scientific evidence, mobilizing people and resources to create, curate, understand, and use knowledge in the Knowledge4Policy (K4P) format – the European Commission’s platform for developing and implementing sectoral norms based on harmonized evidence processing.
Applying reliable European and international approaches, methods, and practices to assess environmental violations/risks due to the local, trans-regional, continental, and global consequences of military actions in Ukraine.
The establishment of international partnerships for implementing UN and EU environmental acts and programs for Ukraine developed based on these acts and progressive international alliances. The expansion of the community of experts and volunteers based on a "green" transition, with the participation of Ukrainian migrants in different countries, will help them acquire new skills and grow the professional community in different countries of the world.
Maintaining gender parity and applying lifelong learning opportunities in the areas of territorial revitalization and the rehabilitation of war-affected citizens are correlated with the urgent need for a new, ecosystem-based approach to protected areas, restoration and conservation of biodiversity, which allows us to cope with the numerous problems associated with the consequences of military actions, especially from the use of mines and explosives, in the Anthropocene.
